A cross-sectional study of 450 school children aged 12–15 from eight community and private schools in Kathmandu Metropolitan City. The study examined oral health knowledge, attitude, and practice alongside sociodemographic factors.

Key findings: 79.8% of participants had high knowledge, almost all had a positive attitude, but only 42.2% had adequate oral health practice. The prevalence of oral health problems was 57.6%.

The study concludes that despite satisfactory knowledge and positive attitude, children demonstrated poor oral hygiene practice, and serves as a reference for future evaluation of planned health activities.
